Ti-Took™ uses an open source firewall (Linux) which will guard family against network intrusions, using the same technology as the enterprise. Ti-Took™ protects your home network against intruders from the internet. The users become invisible to online intruders once they log into Ti-Took ™ World. You are invisible to the outside world unless grant authorization! While preserving your anonymity to the outside world of the World Wide Web, every user is mapped to an account within the private network. By default, Ti-Took™ users will get a Free Network Firewall to help protect all computers in your home network. This will help prevent hackers from seeing and attacking your network.

Ti-Took™ Web Portal

Ti-Took™ World is a Family Friendly Intranet Web Portal with customizable applications such as: Web Directory for Kids and Teens, Search Engine for Kids and Teens, Web calendar and installable online software.

1. Web Directory for Kids and Teens

The Ti-Took™ World Web directory for kids is a human-edited directory specialized in linking to web pages purely for children listed by categories such as Arts, Computers, Directories, Entertainment, Games, Health, News, People and Society, Preschool, School time, Sports and Hobbies, Teen Life, Your Family and International. You can help build the web directory for kids on the Web by submitting sites to Ti-Took.com.

2. Search Engine for Kids and Teens

The Ti-Took™ Search engine is designed to help find information and minimize the time required to find information about children and teen’s favorite topics, activities or information appropriate to their age range and within their parent’s security settings.

Once logged into Ti-Took™, the user will have the choice to search within the Ti-Took™ platform or go to a different URL address while being monitored and protected via the Ti-Took™ Network Security Solution and the parental control settings.

For younger children, the entire internet can be blocked and only child-related sites can be programmed to be accessible. Depending on other age groups, parents will be able to create rules and restrict the categories of their choice or block by using keywords.

For parents and older helpers their search results remain 100% unchanged while Ti-Took is installed.

The Search Engine’s interface is supported by web thumbnails displaying the website resulting from the search, offering children and teens a better visual support.

3. Preferences

The Web Portal platform can be customized for each user. Each Ti-Took™ user can personalize their platform interface by selecting the font (name, style, size), text color, several backgrounds color, and by choosing amongst installable background skins.
